Day 01 - Delhi
Upon arrival at airport, meet India Budget tour representative who will assist the transfers to the hotel for overnight in Delhi.
Day 02 - Delhi
After breakfast, devote a day of discovery towards Delhi, the capital of India. This includes a visit to Old and New Delhi. Begin the discovery with Jama Masjid, the largest Asian mosque and Red Fort, both built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the vicinity of Old Delhi. Continue the tour with a visit to Raj Ghat, the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, the non-violent leader of freedom struggle. Later on, move towards the 100 year old Lutyens Delhi, a remarkable architectural feat dedicated to the British rule. Visit India Gate, a 42 meter stone archway dedicated to the Indian martyrs of the World War II. Leading to this is the drive past the President's House & Parliament House, which is surely one of a kind experience. Post lunch; visit the world heritage site of Humayun's Tomb, the only Mughal memorial built by a wife for her deceased husband, Emperor Humayun. Sum up the day with a visit to Qutab Minar, the 12th century minaret and Lotus Temple, a temple open to all religions and faiths. Return to the hotel with this clarity of thought and peace experienced at the Lotus temple for overnight stay.
Day 03 - Delhi - Agra (203 kms / 4 hrs)
After breakfast, move towards Agra via a chauffeur driven car. Enroute visit Sikandra, the tomb of Emperor Akbar who is more known as a consolidator of Mughal rule in India. The worthy monument here features an interesting fusion of Hindu and Muslim art and architecture reflecting the spirit of the emperor himself. After the sightseeing, continue the journey to Agra, a major stopover of Central India Tour. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. In the noon, begin the sightseeing of Agra with a visit to the world famous Taj Mahal. This is often considered the monument of the monuments in India. Such is the pristine charm of this extravagant structure. Continue exploring the essence of Agra with a visit to the Agra Fort & Itmad-ud-Daula. Overnight in Agra. (Taj Mahal is closed on all Fridays)..
Day 04 - Agra - Gwalior
After an early breakfast, transfer to the railway station to board the connecting train # 2002 Shatabdi Express to Gwalior (dep. 08:12 hrs. arr 09:29 hrs). This is the superfast train, connecting two prominent tourist attractions. Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh is described as a pearl among the fortresses of Hind by Babur, the first emperor of Mughal dynasty. The Hindu-fort, on a steep sandstone base, overlooks the city and forms the most striking attraction of Gwalior tour. Upon arrival, check in the hotel. Later, move towards the sightseeing of the Gwaliors Gem, the fortress and Gujari Mahal which is currently utilized as a museum. Return to the hotel for overnight in Gwalior.
Day 05 - Gwalior - Orchha - Khajuraho (190 kms / 5 hrs)
Check out Gwalior in the morning for a drive towards Khajuraho, the stone narrating the poetic scenes from the times the temples were being sculpted. Enroute stop over at Orchha. This is the forgotten town in ruins, but still an interesting sight. The monuments are spread out fairly, that can be easily explored on foot. The fortified palace complex displaying numerous pavilions, lodges and temples are the attractions of Orchha. Continue the journey to Khajuraho. On arrival, check in the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 06 - Khajuraho
The temples at Khajuraho provide glimpses of medieval heritage conceived and executed by Chandela Rajputs. The main attraction here is dedicated to the human life of the times. Here, gods, humans, divine nymphs and other creatures display the excellence of the artistic fusion on stone. Overnight at hotel
Day 07 - Khajuraho - Delhi
Transfer to airport on time to connect flight for Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to the international airport to connect flight for onward destination.
